Heres were my 3 choices of chair after careful deliberation! What to buy???. Finn Juhls Pelican chair, Finn Juhls Chieftain chair or Hans Wegners Ox chair. Went shopping this week to pick one of these beautiful chairs. Started looking at the "Pelican", was very tempted by this black leather version. Was also interesting to learn there were only 4  produced originally, 2 in red fabric and 2 in black leather. Although the design is second to none and the price of 5K makes it the cheapest of the 3, i felt the overall size of the chair is a slight let down, just a little too small for an armless armchair. I am  just over 6" tall and would not reccomend this chair to the anyone on the large side, buy as a thing of beauty!

The "Chieftain"  is the most elegant chair i know,  This chair will always be in my top 3, Craftsmanship at its finest.  The only problem with a piece like this is protecting it from the rest of the family. Would need to board up my front door if i got one.  Just don't feel worthy of such a chair yet and at around 10K would need to rob a bank!

Hans Wegners "Ox" chair,like the others sculpturally exquisite. It''s a good bit larger than the "Pelican" and much easier to maintain than the "Chieftain".Feels like just the right amount of chair and craftsmanship for the money.Prices range from 6K/9K and an accompanying footstool can be purchase for around 1.5K. Was lucky enough to find mine ex-display here in the UK, 4.5K, and with a leather upgrade!.  Would be interested to hear anyone elses opinion on the merits or otherwise of these 3 chair.

Would still buy all 3 of these chairs given the funds.
