We do not have much information on the artist Julius Larder except to say that he studied at Leeds College of Art in the early 1980s and thereafter made application to join the Printmaking Department at the Royal College of Art in London. He had lived at Headingley in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We have a large selection of prints and paintings by Julius Larder and images and details will be supplied gladly on request. The present work is an original unique drypoint etching on T H Saunders watermarked paper, pencil signed by the artist, dated 1986, numbered 1 from an edition of 1, and titled 'Man with hands that look as though they might become birds and fly away'. On the back there is a Royal College of Art label giving the artist's name, his address in Headingley, Leeds, the title of the work etc. This drypoint formed part of the artist's submission for acceptance to the RCA. It is in very good condition although it should be noted that brown paper tape has been fixed to all four edges of the print as protection. This covers part of the margin only and of course would not be visible after mounting and framing.Size: About 25.6 x 20 inches image size and about 30.7 x 23.5 inches paper size Shipping: Free to UK mainland sent rolled in a tube.
