Description: Charles LLoyd (born 1930) is a well known painter and printmaker born in Sydney, Australia. He studied art in Australia, then at the Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art, and later with S W Hayter at Atelier 17 in Paris. In 1967 he studied at Atelier Nord in Oslo with support from the Norwegian Government. Charles Lloyd exhibited with the Royal Society of Painter Etchers, the AIA, Printmakers Council, Bradford Biennal etc, and had solo shows at Reading University 1967, Belgravia Art Gallery 1973, and Amalgam 1983-89. Public collections holding his work include the National Maritime Museum and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. He lived in London.
The present print is pencil signed, dated (19)67, titled and numbered 12 from a very small edition of 25. It measures about 25 x 20 inches sheet size and about 15.5 x 11.5 inches image size. It is housed in a simple black frame, measuring 26.5 x 21 inches overall, supplied we think in the late 1960s by Gorner and Millard of Earl's Court. The frame has some minor scratches but is in acceptable condition. The print is in good condition...
