An original 1950s sofa and chair set by Arne Vodder for France and Daverkosen. In a stylish combination of beech and teak, this early set displays Vodder's emerging mastery of furniture design. The strikingly sculpted teak arms contrast beautifully with the beech frames. The aero-dynamic form and clean lines are signature Vodder features that would recur in his later designs.

This set in excellent vintage condition, with minor patina consistent with age. It has been professionally recovered in a luxurious heavy weave dark blue fabric with piping and zips to allow for dry cleaning. All webbing has been replaced with high quality Pirelli straps.
