A rare original 1950s sofa and chair set by Nanna Ditzel for Sören Willadsen. This early set displays Ditzel's mastery of furniture design. Clean, distinctive lines show the influence of classical styles combined with the emerging modernism of the time. The luxurious tub form and splayed legs are signature Ditzel features that would recur in her later designs. The beautiful sapphire blue herringbone fabric is in excellent condition, and has been professionally cleaned.

This set in excellent vintage condition. Structurally there are no defects whatsoever. The herringbone covers are clean and unfaded with no holes or tears. The legs have minor patina consistent with age. One of the rear legs of the sofa has a small chip at the bottom.
