An original 1950s sofa and chair set by Peter Hvidt for France and Daverkosen. In a stylish combination of beech and teak, the contrasting teak feet are quintessentially 1950s in style, while the gracefully curved arms, aero-dynamic form and clean lines make this one of Hvidt's most striking designs. The cushions have been professionally recovered in an elegant dark plum fabric. The chair is stamped with the France and Daverkosen maker mark (pictured).

This set in excellent vintage condition. Structurally there are no defects whatsoever. The sprung cushions are firm and very comfortable, the covers brand new. The webbing is robust and in perfect condition.
