An exeptionaly fine example of a Model 137 Japan Chair designed by Finn Juhl in 1953.
Solid Teak frame with brass details. We have just had the chair reupholstered in a beautiful yellow wool. This is a very high quality fabric which enhances the rich tones of the timber and is very sympathetic to the colours originally offered. The chair has also had brand new foam added but retains the original springs which follow the seat and back rest.
It is unusual to find this design with its accompanying footstool, it is incredibly comfortable to use!
The condition is near perfect, it looks to have been barely used.
A very eye catching and playful design from one of the masters of Danish Modern.
