A very large set of ten solid Rosewood chairs designed by Niels Moller, produced by J L Moller, Denmark.
The set consists of eight model 78's and two model 62 carvers. These chairs were designed by Moller in 1962 and have become an iconic representation of Danish Modern.
These particular chairs are early productions from the 60's. Each chair is hand finished in the most beautiful Brazilian Rosewood exhibiting wonderful craftsmanship.
Featuring the original black leather upholstery with lovely wear and patina. If the buyer would prefer to reupholster with new leather we can do so, please contact us to discuss.
Each chair is in perfect condition.
Still in production today, J L Moller have just reintroduced this design in Rosewood, although they are now produced from Indian Rosewood which is arguably less attractive than the South American timber. The cost to buy this set from new, around £15,000.
