Genuine Charles Eames EA 219 High Back Soft Pad Chair in Black Leather manufactured by Herman Miller
This is an incredibly comfortable office chair and features height adjustment, tilt and swivel mechanism, all of which is in full working order.

As can be seen from the photo's, the chair is finished in black leather and has the classic Eames polished aluminium finish frame, arms and five star universal base legs with castors.
This chair in this specification currently costs over £3,200 new!!!
The chair is 100% genuine and highly collectable. I estimate this particular chair dates from around 1979-80, and is complete with the Herman Miller branded chrome piano screw, as shown on the photo's.
The leather is generally in very good vintage condition with no major issues, with the only obvious signs of wear on the seat pad as would be expected, but this commensurate with its age (see the photo's). There is also signs of wear on the aluminium arms (I've shown it the best I can on the photo's), but again this is not excessive when considering the age of the chair.
 Overall the chair is in very good vintage condition and is structuraly solid with no wobble on the supporting stem. The gas lift works perfectly and the tilt mechanism is strong. I have tried to be as accurate as possible with the description and have allowed for the age of the chair in the asking price, however, the signs of wear highlighted above and on the photo's do not affect the operation or desirability of this chair, and do not detract at all from the overall condition and style of what is one of the worlds most famous chairs and a style icon in its own right. 
Due to the size and weight, collection in person is preferred with cash on collection (although this is not essential), however, I could package it up and arrange a courier for around £50 (I would need to confirm this price if you were interested).
