This is an early hand-thrown casserole by Edith Heath. The piece measures 3 3/4" tall (with lid) and 10 3/8" at its widest. It is a sea-green color with brown speckles~possibly an early version of Sea and Sand. The base is impressed "HEATH SAUSALITO CALIF". The piece is free of damage and has the most minor of wear. The only thing of note is a minor 1/8" line on the lids edge that appears to be an artifact from the hand making process (see photo #3).There are finger ridges from being wheel thrown throughout the piece. An important piece by a major name in early Mid-Century California Design~Crafts. For more photos or a shipping quote please email.
