Description: John Brunsdon, RE, ARCA (born 1933) is widely acknowledged as being one of Britain's finest contemporary printmakers. His work is held in many public collections, including the Tate Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
We have some large early etchings by John Brunsdon, mainly abstract expressionist work from the 1960s. The work from that period is vibrant and of course it is in very limited supply today as the print runs were relatively low. All of the etchings we have on offer are unframed and all bar one are 'shrink-wrapped' and backed by board for protection.
The present work titled 'Stone Centre' is an original etching with aquatint which dates from the 1960s. The print measures about 17.7 x 23.8 inches image size, and is pencil signed, titled and numbered 4 from a small edition of 50. The etching is in very good condition save for some old 'mount staining' to the margins, away from the image...
